VicastCam Privacy Policy

Henan Douying Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we") is well aware of the importance of personal information to you and regards the protection of personal information as our core principle.

This privacy policy strictly complies with the EU GDPR, the British Data Protection Law, the Personal Data (Privacy) Regulations of Hong Kong, China, and data protection regulations around the world, and processes your personal information in accordance with the principles of legality, legitimacy, necessity, and data minimization.

Special reminder for users in the United States: In accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we will never sell, rent or trade any of your personal information.

This privacy policy describes our rules for collecting, using, storing, transmitting, and disclosing personal information, as well as your rights to review, correct, and delete personal information. We will not collect personal information in a forced bundling manner; we will only collect relevant information when necessary to implement the service. You can refuse to provide unnecessary information, and it will not affect the use of basic functions.

In addition to this privacy policy, public content such as pop-up windows, page prompts, and function update instructions are all components of this privacy policy and have the same legal effect.

When you use VicastCam for the first time, click "Agree" to indicate that you have fully read and accepted this policy. If you need to collect additional sensitive information when you subsequently use related functions, we will obtain your separate consent again. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time through device settings or by contacting customer service.

You confirm that you are over 18 years old or have reached the legal age of majority in the jurisdiction where you are located ("adult"); minors must use this software with the express consent and full accompaniment of a legal guardian, who assumes guardianship responsibilities in accordance with the law.

The following will help you understand how we collect, use, share, disclose and protect personal information; help you understand how to manage personal information such as query, correction, supplement and deletion. We recommend that you carefully read and understand the entire content of this policy and make the choices you deem appropriate.

Information collection and use

1 VicastCam products and services

1.1 Information you actively provide

Necessary collection: Email address used for registration and login.

Optional collection: personal profile, nickname, avatar, mobile phone number, etc. You can choose whether to fill it in. Rejection will not affect basic use.

1.2 Information obtained from third parties

When registering and logging in using a third-party account, we only obtain the avatar, nickname, and third-party UID published by the platform. This type of information is only used for account login and identification, and will not be used twice or shared externally.

1.3 The system automatically collects information

(1) Device information: device model, IP address, system version, device version, etc.;

(2) Browsing and usage records: your browsing and operation content within the application;

Data retention rules: All device identification, IP, and log information will be retained for a maximum of 12 months, and will be automatically anonymized or deleted upon expiration.

Membership purchase: We may associate the purchase time and duration information with your account and save it on the server to ensure that we can provide you with normal services during the membership period.

Payment instructions: Third-party payment institutions will collect sensitive payment information such as name, ID card, bank card, mobile phone number, etc. We do not collect or store such information.

2 VicastCam product operation and security

We are committed to providing you with safe and trustworthy products and usage environments. In order to maintain the normal and stable operation of related products or services and protect the safety and legitimate interests of you or other users or the public, we may collect the following necessary information:

Device information: During your use, we may collect your hardware model, operating system version number, IP address, software version number, network access method/type/status, network quality data, operation/usage/service logs, etc.

Application usage: In order to prevent malicious programs and ensure operation quality and efficiency, we will collect the overall operation, usage and frequency of applications, application crashes, overall installation usage, and performance data.

Account security judgment: We may collect account information, device information, and service log information generated during your use. We will use the above information and the information that our affiliates and partners have obtained your authorization or can provide to us in accordance with the law to judge account security, transaction security, identity verification, identify violations, detect and prevent security incidents, and take necessary recording, analysis, and disposal measures in accordance with the law.

Message notification: You know and agree that we may send you one or more types of notifications during operations through the contact information (such as email) you provided during the registration process, such as user message notification, identity verification, security verification, and user experience research.

It may also push you the content updates you follow, recommended content, etc. through the system notifications of your device. You can choose to turn off the notification function of VicastCam in your device.

4. Other rules

You understand that as our business develops, the functions and services provided by VicastCam may be adjusted. In principle, when new features or services are related to features or services we currently provide, the personal information collected and used will be directly or reasonably related to the original processing purpose. In scenarios that are not directly or reasonably related to the original purpose of processing, we will notify you again when we collect and use your personal information, and obtain your consent in accordance with relevant requirements of laws and regulations.

The sensitive personal information we collect is prominently identified in this policy. In order to prevent your sensitive personal information from being leaked, tampered with or illegally used, we have taken appropriate technical and organizational protection measures to try our best to ensure the security of your information.

If the information you provide contains the personal information of other users, you need to ensure that you have obtained legal authorization before providing us with such personal information. If the information of minor users is involved, you need to obtain the consent of the corresponding guardian before providing it. In the above circumstances, the guardian has the right to contact us through the channels specified in this policy to request the correction or deletion of the content involving the information of minor users.

Use of Cookie technology

To ensure the normal operation of VicastCam and related services, we will store a small data file named Cookie on your computer or mobile device. Cookies usually contain identifiers, site names, and some numbers and characters. With the help of cookies, VicastCam can store your preference data.

We divide Cookies into necessary Cookies and non-essential Cookies:

Necessary cookies: used to ensure the basic operation of software and websites. Closing them may cause some service abnormalities.

Non-essential cookies: used to optimize product experience and collect usage statistics. You can clear or reject such cookies in your browser. Basic functions will not be affected after closing.

Most browsers provide the function of clearing browser cache data. You can clear cookie data in the browser settings, but after clearing, you may not be able to use functions or services that rely on cookies.

You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, without cookies, some website features or services may not function properly.

We use Cookies to enhance your online experience and understand how you use our services, thereby improving the quality of our services. When you visit our website, our servers may automatically log information, including the URL, IP address, browser type and language, and the date and time of your request.

We promise not to use Cookies for any other purpose than those stated in this policy.

Information sharing, transfer and public disclosure

1 Information sharing

We will not actively share your personal information with any company, organization or individual, except in the following circumstances:

1.1 Obtain your explicit consent or authorization in advance

Sharing is necessary in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, legal process requirements, mandatory administrative or judicial requirements.

1.2 Sharing with our affiliates

Your personal information may be shared with our affiliates. We will only share personal information that is necessary and subject to the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy. If affiliated companies want to change the use and processing purposes of personal information, they will ask for your consent again.

1.3 Sharing with authorized partners

Only to achieve the purposes stated in this policy, some of our services will be provided jointly by us and authorized partners. We will only share your personal information for legal, legitimate, necessary, specific, and clear purposes, and we will only share personal information necessary to provide services. Our partners have no right to use the shared personal information for any other purpose. Currently, our authorized partners include the following types:

1.4 Message notification provider

In order to adapt the message push function to the terminal model you are using, the terminal device manufacturer may use your mobile phone model, version and related device information (including hardware model, operating system version, device identifier, device sensor information) through SDK and other technologies.

1.5 Payment service provider

The payment function may be provided to you by a third-party payment institution that cooperates with us. Third-party payment institutions may need to collect your name, ID number, bank card type and number, and mobile phone number. ID number and bank card related information are personal sensitive information, which are required for the payment function. Refusal to provide them will result in you being unable to use this function, but it will not affect the normal use of other functions.

1.6 Authorized partners in advertising and analysis services

Unless we obtain your permission, we will not share your personally identifiable information (referring to information that can identify you, such as name or email address, through which you can be contacted or identified) with partners who provide advertising and analysis services. We provide these partners with information about the reach and effectiveness of their advertising without providing your personally identifiable information, or we aggregate the information so that it does not identify you personally.

1.7 Suppliers, service providers and other partners

We send information to vendors, service providers and other partners who support our business, including providing technical infrastructure services, analyzing how our services are used, measuring the effectiveness of advertising and services, providing customer service, or conducting academic research and surveys.

We will sign strict confidentiality agreements with companies, organizations and individuals with whom we share personal information, requiring them to handle personal information in accordance with our instructions, this Privacy Policy and any other relevant confidentiality and security measures.

2 Information transfer

We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization or individual, except in the following circumstances:

2.1 We will transfer your personal information to other parties with your explicit consent to the transfer.

2.2 Provided when necessary in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, legal process requirements, mandatory administrative or judicial requirements.

2.3 When involving mergers, acquisitions, asset transfers or bankruptcy liquidations, your personal information may be transferred accordingly. When the aforementioned changes occur, we will require the successor to protect your personal information in accordance with laws and regulations and security standards no less than those stated in this Privacy Policy. If the successor changes the original purpose and method of processing, we will require the successor to obtain your authorization and consent again.

3.1 We may publicly disclose relevant information after obtaining your explicit consent in advance.

3.2 Disclosure based on law. We may publicly disclose your personal information when required by law, legal proceedings, litigation or when required by competent government authorities.

Information leakage caused by users' voluntary disclosure of information, hacker attacks, or force majeure does not fall within the scope of our proactive public disclosure.

4 Exceptions to prior authorization and consent:

Please understand that in the following circumstances, in accordance with laws, regulations and relevant national standards, partners do not need to obtain your authorization to use, or we transfer or disclose your personal information:

Necessary for the conclusion and performance of a contract to which you are a party.

Necessary to perform legal duties or legal obligations.

Directly related to national security and national defense security.

Directly related to public security, public health, and major public interests.

Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgment.

To protect your or other individuals’ major legitimate rights and interests such as life and property but it is difficult to obtain your consent.

Personal information that you disclose to the public on your own.

Collect personal information from legally publicly disclosed information, such as legal news reports, government information disclosure and other channels.

Other situations stipulated in laws and administrative regulations.

According to legal provisions, sharing and transferring de-identified personal information and ensuring that the data recipient cannot recover and re-identify the subject of the personal information does not constitute external sharing, transfer and public disclosure of personal information. The storage and processing of such data will not require separate notification to you and your consent.

Information storage, transmission and security

The information we collect may be stored, processed and transmitted in any country and region covered by our business operations, and all operations are strictly in compliance with this privacy policy.

The information we collect may be transferred to a country whose data protection standards differ from those in force in the European Economic Area: Singapore. In this regard, we will take additional safeguards such as encryption and signing of standard data protection agreements to protect the security of your personal information to the greatest extent.

When you actively publish content publicly on the platform, the relevant information can be browsed by users around the world through the Internet. Please carefully screen the content you publish to avoid leaking sensitive personal information. By using this service, you expressly agree to the cross-border storage, processing and transmission of personal information in accordance with these Terms.

We attach great importance to personal information security and implement protective measures from both technical and management dimensions to prevent personal information from being illegally accessed, leaked, tampered with, and lost, and ensure that all information processing behaviors comply with applicable laws and regulations. We use industry-standard encryption, de-identification, and anonymization technologies to resist various malicious attacks; at the same time, we have established a complete data security management system and hierarchical access rights system, allowing only authorized personnel to access relevant data, and regularly organize employee security training and data security audits.

We have developed an emergency plan for personal information security incidents. Once a security incident such as personal information leakage, tampering, or loss occurs or is predicted to occur, we will notify the affected users and the corresponding regulatory agencies within 72 hours, and take remedial measures as soon as possible. We will notify the details of the incident through application push, emails, letters, text messages, etc.; if it is not possible to notify all users one by one, we will issue a public announcement and report the incident handling progress in accordance with regulatory requirements.

VicastCam will continue to optimize security protection capabilities. Subject to objective factors such as Internet technology, network environment and external malicious behaviors, even if we have implemented comprehensive protection measures, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of personal information. Please improve your security awareness, properly keep your account and related information, set a more complex password and change it regularly.

When you jump to third-party products or services, we are no longer responsible for protecting the personal information you submit to the third party. However, we will remind you that you will enter third-party products or services so that you can better protect your personal information.

Information management

We attach great importance to and fully protect your rights to manage personal information, including access, copy, transfer, correction, supplement, deletion, withdrawal of authorization, account cancellation, complaints and reports, etc. When you withdraw the relevant authorization, we will no longer provide corresponding functions and stop processing relevant personal information; withdrawing the authorization will not affect the information processing that has been completed based on your authorization.

There may be differences in the function entrances corresponding to different software versions and operating systems. Please refer to the actual display.

1 Query, copy, transfer, correct, supplement, and delete your information

You can manage your personal information in the following ways:

1.1 Send an email to service@vicastcam.com, submit the account number and identity verification materials, and apply for related services.

1.2 Apply for supplement, correction or deletion of relevant information through VicastCam’s feedback channel.

After we receive your application, we will process it according to the process. To ensure safety, you may need to cooperate in submitting written materials or relevant certificates. We may verify your identity before processing your request.

We will respond to your legitimate request within the following time limits in accordance with the applicable data protection laws in your region:

EU and UK: Reply within 30 calendar days from receipt of complete request. If your request is complex or large in number, we may extend it to two months in accordance with the law and will inform you of the reason for the extension within 30 days.

Hong Kong: Reply within 40 calendar days from the date of receipt of the request.

Other regions: Reply within 15 working days from the date of receipt of the request or within the time limit specified by laws and regulations.

Under normal circumstances, you can correct and supplement the submitted information at any time, but for security and identity verification reasons, some initial registration information and verification information cannot be changed.

2 Change the scope of your authorization or withdraw your authorization

You can change the scope of your authorization for VicastCam to continue collecting personal information or withdraw your authorization by contacting customer service.

3 Account cancellation:

You can send an email to service@vicastcam.com, submit your account number and identity verification materials, and apply for related services.

Before you cancel your account, we may verify your personal identity, security status, device information, etc. that you have authorized to us.

You know and understand that the operation of canceling your account is irreversible. After the account is canceled, we will delete the relevant information; if deletion is technically difficult to achieve, we will anonymize it or stop processing other than storing and taking necessary security protection, unless otherwise provided by laws and regulations.

After the account is canceled, you will not be able to use the account to log in to VicastCam, nor can you retrieve any content or information related to the account. After the account is canceled, you should still bear the corresponding responsibility for your behavior of using VicastCam before canceling the account.

4 We may not be able to respond to your request in the following circumstances:

Relevant to our performance of our obligations under laws and regulations.

Directly related to public security, public health, and major public interests.

Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments.

We have sufficient evidence to show that you have subjective malice or abused your rights.

For your or other individuals’ major legitimate rights and interests such as life and property but it is difficult to obtain your consent.

Responding to your request will cause serious damage to the legitimate rights and interests of you or other individuals or organizations.

Involving trade secrets.

Protection of minors’ information

The VicastCam products and services we provide are mainly for adults, but we attach great importance to the protection of the personal information of minors.

Different jurisdictions have different age requirements for minors to use services on their own. We will dynamically apply the following standards based on the country/region you selected when registering:

European Economic Area: Persons under the age of 16 must obtain the consent of their legal guardian to use this service. However, if the domestic law of your member state stipulates a lower age of consent (not less than 13 years old), the age stipulated in the law of that country shall apply.

South Korea: Persons under 14 years of age must obtain the consent of their legal guardian.

United Kingdom: Persons under 13 years of age must obtain consent from a legal guardian.

United States, Brazil: Persons under 13 years of age must obtain consent from a legal guardian.

Other regions: Persons under the age of 18 must obtain the consent of their legal guardian.

If you are a minor who meets the above conditions, before using our products or services, you must obtain the consent of your legal guardian in advance, and read this policy, complete registration and use operations under the supervision and guidance of your legal guardian.

For the collection of personal information of minors with the consent of parents or legal guardians, VicastCam will only collect, use or publicly disclose this information when permitted by law, with explicit consent of parents or legal guardians, or when necessary to protect minors.

If we discover that minors’ information has been collected without the consent of the guardian, we will delete the relevant data within 72 hours of discovery or an earlier period stipulated by law, and restrict or cancel the corresponding account.

If you are the guardian of a minor, if you have any questions about the personal information of the minor under your guardianship, please contact us through the contact information disclosed in this privacy policy.

Amendments and Notices

1 We may revise this privacy policy if the following changes occur to VicastCam products and/or services:

1.1 Changes in the business functions involved in our products and/or services lead to changes in the purpose, type, and use of personal information;

1.2 The main objects to whom personal information is shared, transferred or publicly disclosed change.

1.3 There are significant changes in your rights to participate in the processing of personal information and how you exercise them;

1.4 The responsible department, contact information and complaint channels of our department responsible for handling the security of your personal information have changed;

1.5 Other changes that may affect the security of users’ personal information or affect users’ privacy rights.

1.6 Make changes in response to the issuance and implementation of policies or laws.

2 We will not reduce your rights under the currently effective Privacy Policy without your explicit consent.

3 After this Privacy Policy is updated, we will issue an updated version on VicastCam and remind you of the updated content through site messages or other appropriate means so that you can keep abreast of the latest version of this Privacy Policy. If there are major changes to this policy, we will announce it at least 30 days in advance through on-site messages and official channels.

4 We may also help you better manage your personal information through function updates. Please pay attention to the relevant function descriptions.

5 Unless otherwise stated, the revised Privacy Policy will be effective from the date of publication.
